Have An Asthma Plan

Asthma symptoms

Asthma, although it doesn’t pose a severe threat to life, is a chronic illness that has reached enormous proportions in the last few years. It is a respiratory illness that causes inflammation in the lungs. It can manifest in two different ways, as a constant problem, or as occasional ‘flares’, known as asthma attacks. Symptoms can vary from coughing fits due to the inflammation of the bronchi to wheezing when suffering an attack.

ASthma attack

An asthma attack can be one of the most frightening things that can happen to anybody. After all, it is a human instinct to be able to breathe, and when an asthma attack doesn’t allow you to do this naturally, then we panic. You may also know that panicking can actually make the attack worse, as one side effect of panic is shortness of breath, which you already have during the panic attack! Keep calm and learn how to manage it when it happens.

asthma treatment

Asthma is already a well-researched illness with a variety of treatments for it. The best known is via medicine inhalation. Two types of medicine can be used: beta-2 agonists and corticosteroids. The first one is used to relieve acute asthma attacks and the second for preventing those attacks.

Allergy Protect - Rachel Collins

Hi, I'm Rachel and welcome to my blog.

I was diagnosed with asthma when I was 15, and we can say, this illness has marked my life and everything I do in it.

In my 20s I thought I had everything figured out, but it turned out a horrible asthma attack almost ends my life. With the help of what I already knew, and some of my fellow friend-sufferers and doctors, I compiled a list of articles in this blog that helped me go through my asthma and be able to manage it as well as possible.

Thanks for stopping by, and I hope you find something to help you along the way.
